How to Unlock Bootloader ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Android M


Today ZenFoneblog will share How to Unlock bootloder ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL. Unlock bootloader is required for installing Custom Recovery or Custom ROM, but it will void the warranty so DWYOR (Do it with your own risks). Thanks to gavrilla from 4pda.ru

What you Need :

  1. ADB Fastboot (Download)
  2. Twrp 2.8.7.7.img (Download)
  3. UnlockBL.zip (Download)
  4. LockBL.zip if you want to re-lock bootloader (Download)

How to Unlock Bootloader ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Marshmallow:

  1. Download and install ADB Fastboot
  2. Download Twrp.img and unlockBL.zip above
  3. Copy and Paste UnlockBL.zip to Zenfone 2laser memory
  4. Enter fastboot mode by turn off zenfone and press power+volume up
  5. At Twrp 2.8.7.7.img folder open cmd by pressing shift+right click > open command here
  6. Type at cmd:
    7. fastboot boot twrp_2.8.7.7.img
  7. Flash UnlockBL.zip via twrp recovery
  8. Reboot
  9. Done

How to Root ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL (Android Marshmallow):

  1. Install TWRP Recovery (Tutorial)
  2. Download Patched boot boot_13.10.6.16_patch.img (Download)
  3. Enter fastboot by turn off device and press power+volume up
  4. Open cmd and type:
    5. fastboot boot boot_13.10.6.16_patch.img
  5. Download SuperSU.zip (Download) and copy to SD card
  6. Enter TWRP recovery and flash superSU.zip via recovery
